Subject: Supplementary explanation for Student's Pass application

1 · Purpose of this response
Dear Officer,
I respectfully submit this letter in response to the clarification request shown in my Student's Pass application. The request concerns the relationship between my previous study, the proposed course, and the funding documents submitted for the application. I have arranged the explanation below in the same order as the supporting evidence so that each statement can be checked against a named document.
My intended study is full-time at Singapore Management University, beginning on 12 January 2027. I understand that an In-Principle Approval letter is not itself the Student's Pass and that the final issuance remains subject to the requirements stated by ICA.
Requested clarification answered
- Study purpose: the course extends my prior training in information systems into enterprise technology management, with a defined project focus on service operations.
- Funding source: tuition and living expenses are covered by my own savings and a documented family contribution, with the transfer path identified in the attached bank records.
- Document consistency: the name, date of birth, course dates and passport details in this letter match the application record and the attached identity page.
2 · Study purpose and continuity
I completed my undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Information Management at Zhejiang Gongshang University in June 2025. During my final year, I worked on a campus service-ticket project that connected user requests, response-time metrics and operational review. That experience showed me that reliable digital systems require both technical design and a clear understanding of how organizations make decisions.
The Master of IT in Business (MITB) is a deliberate next step because its business-technology focus addresses the gap between my information-management foundation and my goal of working on service operations platforms. I plan to use the coursework to strengthen process modelling, data governance and technology delivery skills, then apply those skills in digital operations roles in China after graduation.
My study plan is therefore continuous rather than a change of direction: prior degree → enterprise systems training → return to China for technology operations work. I have not included any claim about a guaranteed admission, employment or immigration outcome in this explanation.
3 · Financial arrangement and accommodation
The financial plan covers the first academic year and is supported by the documents indexed in Section 4. The estimated first-year tuition is SGD 38,400, and the planned living budget is SGD 18,000. My available funding is arranged as follows:
| Funding line | Amount | Evidence reference | Explanation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Applicant savings | SGD 24,600 | A-03 | Accumulated from documented salary income and retained savings. |
| Parent contribution | SGD 31,800 | A-04 | Transferred by my father, with identity, employment and bank records attached. |
| Total available | SGD 56,400 | The figures are stated for this fictional example and should be recalculated from current records. | |
My planned accommodation is a room at 18 Tanjong Pagar Road, Singapore 088441, arranged for the initial study period from 5 January 2027 to 31 December 2027. The booking confirmation and payment record are included as A-05. If the accommodation changes, I will follow the applicable reporting requirements and keep the school and ICA records aligned.
